BAY JAMMER 2008 - "America's Oldest Scouting Event"
COME CELEBRATE 60 YEARS OF FUN IN THE SUN THIS JULY!
One of the nation’s oldest and beloved events is back for it’s 60th consecutive summer this coming July 18, 19, and 20, 2008. Yes, that event is the renowned M&M Bay Jammer! The Bay-Lakes Council of the Boy Scouts of America has sponsored this event since the Council merged with the former Nicolet Area Council in the 1970s, which had formerly sponsored the event. Bay Jammer lives on after nearly seven decades as a testament to the spirit of Scouting.
The Bay-Lakes Council is proud to sponsor Bay Jammer for its 60th year and would like to invite you and your Scouting unit to attend this summer spectacular! Bay Jammer is an event which builds on the values of Scouting, tests a units knowledge and perserverance, brings together old friends and develops new relationships, and provides Scouts and Scouters from around the Midwest with a forum to collaborate, congregate, compete, and have some good clean fun.
For those who have participated in the M&M Bay Jammer, you know how special this weekend-long event is. You also know how much your Scouts have enjoyed the spirit of competition and the lasting friendships that are formed. For those of you who may be considering making your first trip to Menominee, we truly hope that the contents within will help you make what could be the best decision you have made all year. Your unit will thank you for it!
Bay Jammer 2008 promises to be one of the best since its inception in 1948. The tradition Bay Jammer upholds will be everpresent, with a few new twists here and there. We guarantee it will be a weekend to remember! The program guide you are about to read should give you a good idea of what is in store for this year’s edition of Bay Jammer. If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our chairman anytime. We hope to see you this coming summer in Menominee!
Let us know if there is anything we can do for you to make the 60th annual Bay Jammer extra special.
